Over the years I have had good luck using engine cleaner under the hood. I let it soak. Rinse. Let dry. Spray the whole thing down with Armour-all. Let that dry and it looks like I hand rubbed everything. Just a tip.

Great tip. The best thing to aid in busting that caked-on grease is to use hot water too. Your tip, along with hot water, can really make that engine bay turn some heads!

The engine degreasing is a good idea but try to use a silcone spray in replacement for armour all, it comes in an arosol can.
