The Kaw KT-150A is rated at 20hp the KT-150B is rated at 22hp anyone know what the difference is?

2 HP! Ding-ding! We have a winner!

Sorry, I couldn't help it!

Seriously, the difference between the two is the intake port is bigger on the 150B. If you're racing where port work is allowed you can grind out a 150A intake port to match the 150B port pretty easy. As best I can tell the actual port timing is the same, it's the area of the port facing the carb that is bigger on the 150B. Hope this is the info you're looking for.

Thanks for the info. I am thinking about buying a one-lunger for racing and wanted to know the difference in the one cyl Kaw engines. In this part of the country, the Lynx seems to be the machine to beat.
