Got a 2008 T-500 (new in 09) and cant get the tool for the leaf spring to fit into the hole to engage the leaf spring (hope that's not too confusing). If I'm using it correctly, the pin goes into the hole in the spring block/wedge/retainer with the curved part outside it and twist to lock the spring up. The pin does not fit into the hole in that piece. I took all the paint off it thinking it had a thick coat of paint and it still wont fit. Am I doing it wrong, have the wrong tool, or just a knuckle head? Andy help would be appriciated.
Thanks

have u ever tryed to use that tool before or is this ur first time? We dont even use them to much of knuckle buster. We find a broom handle or a piece of wood in the woods to pry it in place or my boot is skinny enought to just flip it up and then kick it in.

Wait till you finally get it to fit the hole and find the tang side bends soon as you try to flip it up,and that's with the blocks at the highest setting.Cheap piece of metal.

youll probably have to drill the hole out. I will usually have someone pick up on the back of the sled when im engaging the blocks, this makes it alot easier

I'm an engineer for a plastics company. The hole is too small. Probably an overseas supplier. Drill it out until the pin fits.
