I had to use a 2-1.5 inch reducer on the end of my engine intake because it was running lean with the 2 inch.

Efi will compensate for slight changes but not for larger changes. A muffler most efi systems will adjsut for but as soon as you do intake mods you need to get a programmer. With a programmer you can add more fuel. IT basically a electronic jet kit.

Cool snorkel setup! Just curious how do you know its running lean? Did you put an exhaust gas analyzer on it? Did you use the old airbox? If so how did you remount the map sensor?

It would not idal properly with the 2 inch intake. As soon as i put the 1.5 inch reducer on it ran perfect. I have not got it to a air/fuel sniffer yet but plan too. I am using stock air filter and stock airbox.

im suprised it went lean, ive got 2in snorks also a twin air air filter along with a modded exhaust and mine isnt lean at all, my afr #s are between 12.8-13.2.
i also have a black majic slip on coming i will check it again after i put it on.

Going to 1 1/2" on the belt in/out was bad news for me, keep an eye on it, that belt will be running hot!

You may have to re-locate the air sensor. I believe VDI has a kit.

Greengoblin your 650 is the v2. That kawi belt setup runs much hotter with its slip start design. I talked to lots of people with h1's and a few others that snorkaled tcats and they all said it works awesome with 1.5 inch.

Not to beat a dead horse but keep a eye on it this summer with 1.5" snorkels. one bad thing with EFI when you change the air flow you got to get a programmer to add fuel back in to it..

With the 1.5 inch engine intake i think it should be running pretty close to stock... If i have to i also have a insert that will bring it down to 1.25 inch if i have to...
