Yea......I wonder how Blair is doing these days? I hope Ski Doo didn't completely kick him to the curb. Even in a wheelchair and his past experience he should be able to do some serious recruiting for Doo. I look for Tucker to someday take over the race program for Cat. Maybe.....If they pay him right.......if not we could see him jumping ship also but I doubt it. I heard years ago Doo offered him and his dad BIG bucks to jump ship. Im really surprised with the deep pockets Doo and Polaris have he never did leave. Something you don't see very much now days......someone staying with what they like and not doing it for the $$.

Kirk Hibbert is Cat plain and simple, without him Cat would NOT be were it is today in terms of racing between him and Sturgeon they shaped Cat into what it is today through the 90s and 2000s

No kidding.

Kirk never seemed to have the superstar status his son now has but I remember back in the day when he was a powerhouse. He also did a little of everything, I remember hearing story how he was out in the mountains watching a hill climb competition. For what ever reason he deiced to give it a go and took a stock Prowler (or some sled of that vintage) over the top for the win. The guy was a cross country racer...not to many mountains on the course. I also think he raced SnoCross before it really took off too.

Wasn't he one of the guys who was at the auction piecing together Artco or did he come in shortly after that? I know he was/is on the engineer staff, pretty cool to think you were part of the team that developed the sled you're racing. Didn't he used to rock the Coke bottle glasses too? :-P

Captain Kirk, he must really bleed green.

K

Ya he won Jackson Hole on a 1990 Prowler 440 and race SnoX mid 90s with a purple ZR

I remember seeing those 1st 93 ZR440 at a local drag race feb 93 and was in awhile of the way the looked compared to anything else offered back then,I think he lots to do with the development of it

Kirk H. came into the picture after the "Condo Crew" made their play to form Arctco.

I'd agree with the sentiment on here that Tucker wouldn't jump ship. Some guys will, no question about it. But there are still some in the world who's loyalty is firm. Kirk Hibbert falls into this group, along with names like Roger Skime and Bill Ness. Guys like these have forever been the lifeblood of Cat, and will keep the blood pumping as long as they're around.

Burandt, unfortunately, just wasn't one of them... Let's hope Tucker is.
