I have a 1999 skidoo rear skid in my 1995 wildcat.
See the attached Parts Breakdown.

Can anyone tell me what exactly the assembly I have circled is for? What does it do, what can i adjust on it, etc?

Thanks for the help!Attached File  skid_frame_question.pdf ( 225.93K ) Number of downloads: 7

ACM coupler

The SC10 had front to back coupling

The ACM had a bolt and nut,by tightening the nut you were able to control the rate of coupling

I had a 98 SC10 in my 95 Doo, I took the ACM off the last yr I rode it

BTW I found the SC10 rode better than my 01 ZRs skid, the front end was a totally dif animal LOL compared to AWS

hows does the amount of coupling affect the ride?
right now the rear arm collapses a bit under it's own weight.

if i crank it up, make the rear arm off the rails stand up more straight, what will that do to the ride?
less coupling = stiffer ride? more travel?

what if i take it off?

thanks for the info.

along those lines.....what does cranking up the front springs do to the ride?
just trying to understand how the balance works.

Thanks!
