front engine mount is broken
Hey
the beam who have the holes to the engine mount is broken in two, can i weld in this? it looks like some kind of aluminium.
i need som tip and help with this problem
i have a 98 zr600

Pull the motor and look for other cracks and bends. If it is aluminum take it to someone who tig welds. If possible reinforce it on the sides.

i broke one last year. was gonna have it welded, but a new mount was $15 and it was easier to just buy a new one than try and fix/strengthen an old one that was cracked and bent.

Its made of cast aluminum it welds like garbage plus just get brittle after welding.
