Last ride of the year I would say, St. Patricks Day 2017

I never say it is over until it is over but I think I am done for the season at least on this sled, I'll ride my older sleds if it snows again. I got one last ride in for the year when everyone says we are done. I spend the 16th and 17th in Potter County, PA area. Not the Rockies but very scenic and best trails you could hope for mid March. Last St. Patrick's day I rode was 1993 that I remember. Time to put the pro-cross to bed for the summer, 300 miles on the new top end and all is well.

Elk pictures were near Benezette, PA area on the ride home. A nice ending to a trip.

well you need to trailer up and head my way, we have 30+ inches of snow as of TODAY on my local trails, BUT they might close tomorrow at midnight!
we got slammed with a huge storm on Tuesday and its still snowing right now here at my place

trails I am told are in excessive snow condition shape, as in TOO Much snow right now, short track guys are getting stuck all over, groomer isn't grooming just driving down trails to TRY and pack them down

IF The trails don't close on SUnday night, I will be hitting them Monday or Tuesday, but for me on the old zrt 600 again?? LOL
I know they will be all mogals after today and a ZOO of young guns will be out today and tomorrow
so I won;t be there
I hope I don';t miss the last ride of the yr on REAL trails
but I have 27+ inches in me back yard and a few dozen miles of decent roads I can run, IF I can get out to ride them
a s snow is TOO deep for me here, got stuck a few times already trying
I,m too old and fat and bad back to keep digging a sled out myself! LOL

Nepasnowtrails.com is there web site, I know there offering a special rate on trail permits too if anyone wanted to ride this weekend
they require a permit to ride there, , BUT if you BUY now, they will put the $$ towards the 2017-2018 season, so that' a help to anyone looking for a LAST ride deal
200+ miles of trails too!

SO< if your still looking to ride, and don't mind a drive, should be a bout 3 hrs farther east than potter co for you??
we HAVE snow yet here, calling for low temps all next week too, so IF trails stay OPEN< should ONLY get better next week here!
I'll be out mid week IF there open, and you can ride with me ??

here is there snow cam link, doesn't even look like anyone is riding

and there snow cam is in a poor spot, doesn;t snow REAL snow amounts, they got almost 36 inches of snow on Tuesday!

Ya my buddy has a 2nd house up in Mercer. He put some miles on this winter. I may have to suck it up and go to his place next year. Glad to hear it was a good year for you!

Patrick I met my riding buddies in Mercer and left my truck there. I'm an hour north of there. Another hour north of me you can be in NY and ride in Tcat446's back yard.

Mrbb I doubt I will make it out again bud, I hope you are riding while it lasts.

well, haven't gotten out YET, been side tracked with other things, and the snow here is still OH so deep, and now with the slight warm up and a little rain last night it went from all powder to 2+ ft of of wet heavy snow

NOW< if trails stay open tomorrow, I will be out for sure
Might give the back yard a go yet today, but thought of getting stuck ain't helping me there, as one lung a bad back and a old heavy sled, don't sound like the best idea
BUT then again I ain't the sharpest tack in the drawer LOL

If I make it up there next year maybe we can ride. I'm a member of a few forums and always enjoy hooking up with other members

trails closed last night at 11 pm
and its sort of sucks, but I understand the land owners had an agreement with when they would allow access to there property and when not

but like I said it sucks as right now there is more snow on the trails than we had in dec/jan and feb.
so finally got snow , or decent snow that is, and 4 days of it there, 1 day of it actually been groomed
and closed down LOL

OH well can still run about my back yard, have a few miles of old logging roads and tower lines I can ride yet

calling for rain tomorrow, sop that might be it then for the season for me!
