1995 zrt 800 backfiring, bogging, wet plugs
I bough this snowmobile for a little project it has psi performance exhaust on it I believe it has newer carbs because they have sensors on them and this snowmobile doesn't require them, I cleaned all the carbs and put new plugs in it and I got it running good half the time the other times it would back fire and be boggy, it was coming from the cylinder closest to the clutch and maybe from the center because what I found after taking it apart is a piston ring had crack the guy put new rings on it and put the piston in a different cylinder so I bought a new used head, cylinder and piston off ebay and put it together and it still isn't running right I tried messing with the fuel air mixture but I have it all the way tight on all the carbs and the two cylinders closest to the clutch( including the one I replaced) are wet and a brown black color and the other one closest to the stator is a nice brown dry color, it still back fires I've cleaned the carbs again, I checked the reeds, switched spark plugs, and wires around, shortened the spark plug wires to be sure good connections. So I'm not sure want to do I was wondering could it be that the jetting isn't right in general and because of the performance exhaust, also wondering if it could be bad head gasket or crank seals, also the intake boots have cracks in them but Im not sure if they go all the way through could this have a effect on that?
And information would be very appreciated I wanna get this thing goin so bad!
