Say Fij, is the secondary angle of the D&D 12080 60/40 helix a bit much? I see one above that is 60/52. Can you have too much backshift?

60/52 would be okay.
I like snappy back shift. I've got a 62/54 on mine now and seems to behave pretty good.

spunk, I have a 62/54 as well haha. I have all of these big bore helixes. I will trade for something the 500 would like. I think the Highest I would ever go is a 57 starting angle

BLKBST-Are you running it on a twin or triple? For the twin, the 70-72gr 60/40 will be fine
you can go weight heavy and you'll get a better pull on your helix.

Got the motor back together...again. The 2009 1000cc twin, dual ring seals in place, and fit like a glove. Who ever thought of that idea to use them instead of pulling apart the crank, is a man I'd like to shake hands with, saved many a persons a bunch of cash, now me included. Just waiting on an impeller now.
