2002 zr 600, need parts

Well i am in kinda of a pickel right now on choseing witch way to go. My right jug is trashed! the ring some how rolled over and put a grouve in my jug wall. Iam wondering if i should just go ahead and buy a new jug or can they be bored out?. I think i wanna run spi pistons, but am open to all other ideas. Im not racer no high performence guy i just want a long lasting good solid motor. Whats my price range for a new top end for this 02 zr 600?

SPI pistons are fine for a stock rebuild. As for the cylinder, it is a nikasil plated cylinder. There are companies out there that replate the cylinders and restore them to stock size. They can either do your cylinder and send it back to you or they can do it on an exchange basis. Cost is about $200 for the cylinder. Below is a link for a company I have used in the past for cylinder re-plating. You could also buy a used cylinder off e-bay

I would highly recommend Millenium Technologies that 109jb mentioned above. When my rings got stuck and tore up the exhaust port on my PTO jug 2 years ago, I opted for the cross ship option (since it was in mid-January). You ship the jug to them and they ship one out to you, for a nominal core charge plus the cost of the replacement. It arrived in 4 days, just in time for the weekend for me to reassemble and rip it up from Friday to Sunday!
