Exclamation 2002 ZR 800 Cross Country EFI

I bought a 2002 800 cross country this year with 1250 miles on it. My first couple of rides i could stand it up off the line and get 105 MPH out of it i put about 200 miles on it and now the belt or track slips off the start and i can only get about 98 MPH out of it now. any suggestions?

I gonna go out on a limb here and say with some heavy pushing on the fun flipper, you are your own worst enemy. That poor rubber belt is heating up and stretching outwards and inwards with wear and heat fatigue, from pulling wheelies and holding it to the bar accelerating! Naturally, it will slow down from premature wear.

Winner winner chicken dinner!
Make sure you heat soak the new belt after you get it by cycling it through hard acceleration and then cooling cycles. It will make it last longer.
