So according to your numbers my stator is good ….or is it?..... That’s testing it on the bench….what are the chances that it could still be faulty? My symptoms are that the sled will run fine one weekend when it’s cold like -20C…..then the next weekend when it’s warmer like -5C and under load going threw deep snow it boggs and will not rev up enough to get moving….. also at this time when I’m trying to get it to rev up it starts to pump out smoke from the exhaust….pull out the spark plugs and they are wet and black……always starts easy and idles when this is happening ……let sled sit for a bit and it is usually good to go….as long as I stay on the hard packed snow and do not load down the engine it is good…… so my thought was that the heat under load could be causing the stator to malfunction……is that possible?
