How do I check the power valve servo motor?
I have an 02 ZL 600 EFI.
The last time I rode my sled last winter..... I remember the power valve servo motor didn't seem to work. I could manually rotate it, make note of where it was located, go for a ride, hammer on it etc and when I checked it, it was still in the same location.
Yes I could tell a difference in performance from one manual setting to another. This confirms it wasn't working properly.
I want to check it out when I ready the sled for use this winter.
Is there an ohm meter check I can do? Is there a known issue with a bad connection or is this a common problem?
Can I check it by adding 12v from a battery?
Any insight I gain now will make the job easier later.
Thanks.

PS I should add. The cables are not broken, they are sync'd and the power valves move in and out easily. They are not stuck. I remember checking that last winter when I was diagnosing the problem.
