Boggy z 370??

First off happy thanksgiving to everyone. Secoundly I fired up the 01 z 370 and it is a little boggy. only happens from an idle till the track starts to spin. When im riding it, it doesent do it unless I stop long enough for it to get to a low idle. I cleaned the carbs and it still does it. I replaced the clutch weights pins and bushings, but they are stock weight replacements. It seems like the weights are to heavy for the engine to rotate till it gets spooled up a little. I've never ridden a 370 before so idk maybe its the way its supposed to be. all I have to compare it to is a zr 500. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you need to loook at the carb. sounds like the piolt jet has some crap in it. does it idel very good? you should check your belt. it need to be on top of the driven clutch.

You want to make sure your belt deflection is correct. the deflection should be 1 1/8 to 1 1/4. you can check this by placing a flat piece across the top of the belt that reaches both clutches. Push down in the middle of the belt with a hard 12 inch ruler. When the bottom of the belt starts to get tighter the measurement between the belt and the flat piece across the clutches should be within the spec I gave you. If the belt is too loose it will bog at low RPM's.

I just cleaned the carb and it idles good I'll have to check the belt deflection. So as soon as the bottom of the belt starts to move upward thats when you take the measurement? The belt is almost flush with the top of the secondary If I remember right. You guys dont think its just because its a small single carb engine that its doing this?

The belt should not be flush it should sit up and 1/8 or so. if it is sitting flush that is your proublem. how did you clean your carbs? if you used the spray can they just make the out side look pretty does nothing for the jets. a new belt will help a lot.

Im running a brand new belt right now. I'll have to check and see if the belt is sitting flush or 1/8" up.... can't remeber right now i'll look when i get home. I used a spray can of carb cleaner to clean them. What was I supposed to use?

I have a gallon pail of it. it looks like a paint can it has a basket in it. I got it at parts city.
The belt thing is not wright, a new belt should not sit flush. Funoutfitters posted to check the belt deflection. your belt could be to loose.

Ok I got a chance to look at the sled today and I was wrong the belt is sitting up above the secondary an 1/8" just like its supposed to. I measured the belt deflection and it is within spec. Any other Ideas. Im begining to think maybe im over thinking it and its just a smaller motor so it takes a little bit to get going.
