Well, some things just never make a whole lot of sense and this would be one of them to me. Imagine investing $60,000 and selling for $48,000 loss.

I think once they realized it had trailing arms, they decided to cut their losses.

I wouldn't be surprised if 60k is right on, I used to crew on an open mod 1000 sled, we had far less invested but we had to do everything ourselves and buy used parts whenever we could. I'd want to see time slips before putting down cash but if I was in the market for a drag sled I'd have to consider it for sure.

300 hp is big power in a sled, until you pull the trigger on one you have no idea, makes the fastest trail type sled you've ever been on seem like a major pile of junk.

I don't know guys, I can see that kind of money spent on building this sled. I've seen guys put $9000.00 into there sleds and don't come near what this sled has. I can see $15,000.00 into the engine. A few years back I put $2300.00 into 3 cylinders alone and another $1100.00 into the crank and I'm just a little peeon in Northern Michigan, working out of my garage. Those ceramic coated Jaws pipes must have been around $2000.00 and up. Ron.

The 500hp 3.8 second 145mph in 500 feet outlaw sleds don't even have $60,000 into them. I love how in the ad it says, "6 races and 6 wins". Were these sanctioned races? Where are the trophies? Where are the time slips? Why after 6 races is the owner suddenly "scared" to race it any more. If he really did spend tha much putting together a 300hp race sled....well there is a sucker born evey minute I guess. I know guys who have anywhere from 230 to 280hp (non-Z1 turbos) on their 2 stroke pump gas trail motors and have spent WAY less than the starting price of $12,000 and can ride them anywhere.
