I have a 1998 ZL440. the rear suspension is blown. I don't actually know which shock is bad or if they both are. There are 3800 miles on the sled. They are not rebuildable so i am wondering if anyone knows if the suspension is interchangeable with the same year or around the same year ZR's or bigger ZL's? if i could i would like to put rebuildable shocks in it but i just have no idea what would fit. any info on this would be great. Thanks.

I have the same sled as you have and I put FOX shocks both front and rear out of a 97 ZR580 and they work awesome....

You could swap out the entire skid with a ZR 98 or newer. Holes will need to be drilled out in your tunnel but fairly easy swap. For my 99 ZL 500 which I believe is the same skid as yours, I used a ZR rear skid fox shock and used filler for the eyelet bushings because they are a different size. For the front of the skid I tried an 11.5" fox shock off a ZR, but it's an inch too short and I didn't like the handling. I ended up making my own out of a 13" fox shock.
