no thanks,,, im perfectly able to do it myself.... i dint need my lighting coils done just my larger ignition spool done,,,,,,and as i said before im in canada an im not waiting the extra week or more to ship my stator to someone then have it shipped back. I can get the parts overnight to me and have it fixed before anyone even looks at this thread haha

Kev (repairs/rebuilds stators) is here in Canada... Toronto actually... And also an ArcticChat sponsor. If all else fails, might be an option because at least you don't have to wait for shipments getting hung up at the border. Might actually be quick if overnight or express shipping is used.

Good luck, and please post how the self-winding kits work out! Would be nice to know, I'm sure many have wondered.

Guys guys!! Im NOT getting it rewound!! The parts are already on the way!! The parts im getting dont require any winding on my part... just to replace the 2 ignition spools.
I am all for catering to sponsors but i don't have time for that service and i need the cheapest possible fix,,, i just spent all my extra cash on the new clutch, wieghts, carb boots, cylinder, piston, rings, gaskets, trail pass, carbides, risers and the list goes on,,, just to get it ready for this season,,,,i am broke!!!

whats RMS?

And ill have to ask this again,,,,
"Has anyone installed the repair kit like in the link above??"
lets stay on topic please

I did say "if all else fails..." meaning that if your kit blows up or simply fails, Kev may be the next quickest answer to getting back on the snow ASAP.

Good luck, and please do post your findings of the kit.

I've rewound several of those ones. The only advice I have is to secure the bobbins in the frame securely, and don't go out alone. I've turned down jobs because the stator had significant damage when they fell out. Possible flywheel damage could result too if they fall out.

Keep your original bobbins. They are higher quality and better fitment.
