I've been reading the various suspension upgrade threads and trying to make heads or tails of it. Mostly, I'm confused as to which models, in which years, used which chassis? From what I understand, the trick is using AWS5 suspension under an AWS4 chassis, right?
In general.....most sleds prior to 1998 had AWS 4 bulkheads. There were some some exceptions in 97 (ZR 440 amd Puma??) that had AWS 5. There were also some models with AWS 4 in 98 too. In general, the AWS 5 bullkheads hit the mainstream in 98.
You are asking for a LOT of keyboard time you won't get (not from me anyway) if you want all the specific models listed.
Etc. If there is an online history of the models, chassis, and engine families I can't find it (and I've looked). I want to buy a used sled and am basically looking for some frame of reference when I'm perusing Craigslist
