Does anyone know how to set the timing on a 1994 carbed Zr 580 I think mine may be alittle off????? any help will be greatly appreciated

The timing setting is a function of the position of the stator and the cast mark on the engine case. You will have to pull the recoil, flywheel to adjust. If I remember correctly you will need a allen wrench to loosen the bolts that holds the stator, also these bolts will need to have loctite added to them when you put them back in to keep them from backing out during sled operation. As far as where to put the stator mark to align with the case, you will need to consult a service manual for the actual setting.
