Guys,

I bought a used two up trailer and am wondering how to keep the sleds on it. It has a plywood deck and a salt shield. I can weld to the frame and come up through the wood. What is the best way to do this? Do you use ratchet straps?

No holes in the decking towards the front of the trailer where a bolt (hand crnk) would go through into a nut welded to the trailer? The bolt would secure a bar that sits atop your ski saddles.

There is usually some sort of front hold down bar system that screws into the trailer structure that goes across the skis. If your trailer has no such system then tie down straps can be used. Tie down straps should be used at the rear of the sleds.

I strap the front to the front of the trailer, and the rear to the rear of the trailer if on a normal truck, otherwise on my friends truck w/ a 8" lift and 37" tires, just strap the front to the front, because the trailer is angled up so high it cant slide forward. :P
