Without looking in my service manual I will say 13 - 15 lbs-ft. Tighten in criss-cross pattern, 1,4,5,2,6,3, or something like that, and torque in three steps. Cylinder nuts I believe are torqued to 23 lbs-ft. This is all from memory, so subject to confirmation.

94zr508, man what a memory! My service manual for my '94 ZR 580 says heads-13-20 lbs. Starting at 11:00 O'clock, 1-4-6-2-3-5.
Cylinder base, 22-29 lbs.

Nate1990, I have the OEM service manual so I think I can cover most of any more questions you may have.

Rick

So Joe, are you saying that the last 580 was in '97 and was an EFI? But you are correct, not that it makes a differance!

Yeah, The 580 was still used in 99 but not for the ZR..... I don't know if the head bolt torque would be different between a 580 and 500 (or 600) but it might make a difference.

If it is a 500 or 600, I have the service manual for 1999 and can get it for you if you need it.

OK, slack cut! I see you are 16, I have shoes older than you! I hope we helped you.
