fuel pick line in gas tank is disconneted

Hi,

Does anyone know how to re-install the fuel pick-up hose inside the gas tank without taking the whole
thing apart ?

You will have to remove the carbs and airbox.

The fitting on the gas tank and be unthreaded once you get access to it. Once you fish the line out of the tank you can reattach it to the gas tank fitting and slide it all back in.

Thats right, the fitting will have to be unscrewed. You should be able to fish the fuel line and brass filter from the tank with a bent cloths hanger. Cut about a half inch off of the fuel line (or new) and push it back onto the fitting. I bought some real thin S/Steel wire and wraped it around the hose and twisted it around the tank fitting and the filter so it won't come off again. The excess wire has to be cut real close because you have to slide the fuel line back into the tank. Remember that the fuel line on the tank side of the fuel pump must be tight or the fuel pump will suck air and lean out the engine. I use the small tie-wraps.
