A powder special has a 136x2 paddle track and is geared down, and I think the difference between the LE and the standard is just the color. I think the LE modles were either black or white and the standards were green but i am not sure. then there was also the XC which had the adjuster for ski pressure like the 02 CC zr.

On an LE Powder Special the springs and shocks where the same as a ZR. Rear springs were shorter like a ZR, a standard PS had longer legs on the springs. The front arm was the same as a ZR as well...at least mine was...

Talking

The LE came in white , black and green. The white and black ones didn't have the adjustable front arm shock or front clicker fox shocks like on the green one. The powder special had 41" ski stance and 136" track.

The LE also came in red or blue as a spring order option. The XC added the good shocks.

You sure the 98 LEs came in Red and Blue too?! I have only seen 98s in the black, white and green. The only red and blue Cats of that era were the 99 LE ZLs. The ZRs of that year were advailable again in white, black, and "Team Arctic Green". That green kinda looked darker then the regular ZR green in the pictures Ive got, though Im not even sure if there is a difference. But I dont think the 98s were advailable in the red and blue.
