Thumbs up

Foreword:
Last year my 2000 ZR 440 Sno Pro blew a ring while it was idleing. I haven't narrowed it down to one single problem yet.

Main Idea:
The throttle cable is three cables. One to either carb and one to the oil injection unit. When the throttle is all they way out (as in idleing), there is no pressure on the oil injection 'lever'.

Question:
How far should the cable be tightened? Should I move it to a point where there is always pressure on the 'oil injection lever'?

(If this makes no sense: The cable that actuates the oil injection is slack when the engine is idleing. Should it be tight enough so it is always 'engaging' the oil injection?)

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Hello. I was just reading up on this for you. As long as the alignment marks line up at full throttle it is adjusted. You may have to do a test to see if the pump is pumping enough oil. Here is some pages out of my manual. If you notice on the drawing of the pump it has timing marks. The drawing is shown at full throttle. There is a mark for idle as you can see. On my pump there is a metal tab bend on the arm to stop the arm from moving past the idle marks. Check to make sure the tab has not bent and is letting the pump close completely. Both marks should line up at full throttle and at idle. Hope this helps.
