i can get a set of flat slide carbs for my sno pro, it currently has round slides. same size (34mm), would any jetting or other mods have to be made if i put on the flat slide carbs?? why are the flat slide carbs better, better throttle responce??

What are the flats coming off of? Sno Pro? What year?

I think this is an excellent mod for your sled, and yes you will have to do some jetting work. One dialed in you should see a power gain in the low/mid range and better fuel economy and response.

I don't know the dimensions on the XTMX 34's but they are probably shorter front to back then the rounds. Also, the intake manifolds may or may not fit. Throttle cable may need to be replaced too.

most sleds designed for roundslides that later came with flatslides became harder on gas
