What did you do to your crossfire/firecat/sabercat today

Didn't see a thread like this in this section so I thought maybe I would start one!

I got bored since mother nature isn't cooperating this season (40* and Misty rain). Decided to go out to the garage and try to fix recoil rope. Failed miserably because I bought the wrong size and snapped it first pull trying to test it.



So after I have up on that I decided to break out the drill, some polishing goop and a power Ball.

That's sweet. I just use my drill with a wire wheel sometimes, that ball and cone defiantly good idea

I tried a wire wheel on the underside of the pipe and it etched the aluminum bad enough to where it was dull even after I tried to shine it up. I used steel wool to get the big crusties of and the first layer of oxidation off then went at it with the Powerball

Did this the other day. Installed new Motobatt battery in the Sabercat. Realized after I took pic, I forgot to install heat shield. Off with the exhaust!!!What did you do to your crossfire/firecat/sabercat today-img_0376.jpg

yep, the 2 springs on back of muffler have to be held up with rope in order to hold them out of the way and install them.
