Replacement Headlight Bulbs?

Can I replace the stock 894's with any other 894, such as the HID bulbs?

I thought I read you need a HID conversion kit to be able to use any HID bulbs, or it is too much strain on the stator?

I'm not neccesarliy concerened about getting brighter, I just want something in a high temp range than the 3200 yellow looking stock light bulbs.

I'd prefer something 5k or up. I like the really BRIGHT WHITE, and even the BLUE tint color of light.

Can't do the hids without a battery. Just pick up a set of lights on eBay or other aftermarket places. It's just a 894 fog light bulb. I actually bought some last night and am awaiting them. There's a lot of threads about it, just search alittle and you'll find pictures and links

I see all kinds of 894's on EBAY, but 99% of them are HID's. And the ones that aren't, are the standard yellow color, which I can't stand.

the bulbs that work well are the salvaina superstars or ultra stars. You can get them at any auto parts store

You cant get 894 in a silverstar or ultra(I work at Advance part time). You can get straight plug 891's but I heard you cant plug the outside bulb in then. Here are the lights I picked up. They say HID but they actually arent, HIDs require a ballast and these are just plug in. For the price if they last a season I'd be happy as pie.

Yea ... Just aimed differently. They are all foglights, I had them out a week or two ago.
