Used Boss seat

Guess I'm going to start looking for a boss seat for my F7 and since I'm not a fan of all those pockets, I'm looking for a used one, anyone have any idea what they go for used or would it be better to get use to all those pockets and look at the new ones? Thanks Don

08 Style had only two pockets on the outside, and a little more storage than a stock seat on the inside. Along with a few more pockets in there.

From what I'm reading the Boss to be about 3" taller than stock what about length? Are they shorter?

They are hard for the first 100 miles when they are new, but mine broke in nicely.

Thanks I seen that, I'm still kicking this around in the noddle and called the dealer while out hunting today and he is telling me that the M shorty seat is not a sit down seat. That it was designed for being able to throw yourself from one side to the other while giving you something there in case you come down, which I'm sure in is great for that throwing the legs over but you mean to tell me you can't sit on the thing very long? he also said that yes in mounts the same as the Firecat in the front bolts come up through the tunnel into the seat on the rear of it so it wouldn't work on a Firecat?

I have sat the new M seat on my firecat and the width would work but of coarse the front of the seat would need to be cut to the shape of the Firecat tank. This would include cutting threw the upper foam, styrofoam, and plastic base. Yes it could be done if your willing to cut it up.The seat is short(length wise) to begin with so after cutting the front to contour the tank itll be real short. We're working on building a few custom seats for a few of our other firecats. If you want a higher more rider foward seat the easiest is the Boss followed by the 04-07 sno pro (race sled) seat thats fairly easy to mod.My only complaint with the sno pro seat is its stiff Im going to fix that part soon.
