how many miles before a rebuild

My 2003 F-7 has about 5300 miles on it. I am on the fence about new psitons and rings. What seems to be the average out here for miles before a top end is done? It still runs great. I don't have any compression numbers yet. I did peek at the pistons and cylinder walls with a boroscope and didn't see any signs of scuffing or wear. I'd rather do it sooner than later if it's on the way out. What's the average out there for miles before a rebuild?

I personally know a guy that got over 11000+ miles on his 03 F7 (Then he sold it (still runs)). And I have heard of people going over 12. I hear that lay down engines last longer. I don’t know the reason but they do. For a regular stand up motor I change them every 5000 miles.

9000 on my 04 700 did a compression test and it is at 138 each.not going to touch it.

i know its not a firecat but my zr 500 had 7500 miles on it when i sold it (motor never touched) and she was still running strong

idk exactly how many miles my sled has on it because the odo broke on the guy who had it before me nd had to put a new one on, and i forgot how many miles he said it had, but its gotta have close to 7k on it and it still runs great
