make sure the sled is thawed out... obviously if you've been riding it and it has ice chunks hanging on the sides of the running boards, the seat is going to be frozen to the tunnel. When I tried to install my Seat Jack two up seat, I didn't see any ice on the side of the tunnel, but there was still some ice under the seat "freezing" the seat to the tunnel..

Just common sense... make sure its thawed out before you go and rip the seat off the tunnel and do more harm than good

thanks guys.i'm new to arctic cat.this is my first one.converted from skidoo.got a bad knee and killed me riding this season.was up at tug hill 2 weeks ago.tt couple of guys wth an f6 and f7.told them how couldnt handle riding the rev any more and they where both nice enough to let me try out their sleds. i fell in love instantly.always had skidoo's.had never even ridden an a/c. shortly after,we where on our way home from a great weekend i called my wife and told her two things. i'm on my way home, and oh ya,i'm buying an a/c. she wasn't to thrilled to here that since at the begining of the season i bought mine, hers, and my sons brand new. needless to say, being the good wife she is. took that monday off of work and went shopping. buddy of mine told me of a dealer about an hour from my house.sd had 1 f7 efi left. long story short.made the deal over the phone. paid $6500 out the door for it. with a 3 year warrnty. didn't think i did to bad. guess the dealer didn't want to hold on to it for the summer to let it go at that price. anyways.glad to own a cat. its killing me now, cant ride it. just sitting there in the garage. thanks again for the info to get the seat off. seat has a little tear in it and the dealer said would warrnty it. wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible.

When you have the seat off caulk the tunnel hole in the rear with black RTV silicone. This will eliminate the ice build up on the sides. Arctic had some which were not caulked very well. The foam piece sometimes was not in place when the 2 pieces went together and a void space was there. Good Luck and you got a deeeeaaaaaallllll. :scat:
