Just wondering if this is possible and how would someone do it? Over the years we've had people have issues with the points ignition becoming fouled with plant or grain dust. The infamous Evinrude twin engine racer of 20 years ago had MSD ignition added. So, someone figured it out for the big Evinrude rotary. Any ideas on how someone could do it to the little Sachs 303 and or the 295 that came later? Thanks.
never had a rotary but the way i hear everyone talk about the ignition and carb issues on these engines a cdi and mikuni swapped 303 would be an animal of an engine!
You should be asking how to adapt cdi to any engine that uses Bosch points ignition, especially single cylinder, but twins also. I don't know of one, but the racers might. There is a small engine conversion for lawnmowers, etc.
