Smile Series 5000 500cc Spirit???????????

I am currently tearing down a Arctic Cat Spirit Series 5000 500cc engine. No sled, just doing the engine.
The number on the decal is AE50A1 OR AE5CA1, I'm not sure.
I need help determining the year.
Any leads to websites? Any 1st hand knowledge.
Finished my 700 Wildcat EFI-less than $350 TOTAL for that sled. I love it. It is fast! Has a small miss at 5800-6000 rpm, but seems to be getting less noticable. Hoping it might work itself out.
And, almost April 1st, and we are still getting snow on a daily basis, less than 7 miles away, good snow.

Goldminer,

Better to sled in dirt than to not sled AT ALL.
My wife is sorta attracted to the smell of 2 cycle oil.

The A1 on the end tells you that this is the original version of this engine, so first year of Suzuki was 1976 - the AE is the Pantera version - AB would be El Tigre - so it's out of a 1976 Pantera - or it could be a 1977 Pantera, as they didn't change to A2 until 1978 - the 50 is the displacement, 500 cc.

By the way, you can find some of this info at bosscatlegacy.com.
