Thumbs up

I Have (2) '72 Panthers with Tillotson HD carbs - HD27A and HD87A. When I went to rebuild them I assumed they required the same rebuild kit. What I found was one had the Hi and Lo jets on one side of the card while the other had a Lo jet on one side and a Large Hi jet with locking brass nut on the other side.

This comfused me because they are both '72 HDs. Then I attempted to remove the "seat" from the Large Hi jet on the one carb for a good cleaning and buggered it all up (easy outs and reverse drill bits remove pieces). There are still brass threads left in there and I can't seem to reach them.

Has anyone had a similar problem - please help

What should I do to get the rest of the threads out? Why are the carbs different?

Thanks for your help
