Well you picked just about the heaviest tire in in the class.. After you get the clutching done go back to OEM. You may have other issues if your breaking belts.

ok thanks
I just bought this bike and im trying to work the bugs out.

its not breaking them just smoking them with excessive slipping
when I bought the bike he said he had just put a new belt on it.
and after riding it about 15-20 miles around the house on the roads it is slipping bad again
and he also gave me 2 other belts that he had taken off of it
that were a little glazed but not broken

that's why I was asking which belt yall would recommend when I install the clutch
thanks for the help

Are you sure it's the belt slipping and not the wet clutch ? Those tires weigh more than 95% of truck tires.

Above is link to download a service manual for your machine. Also, did you know there is a recall on the front diff? If you didn't, call local dealer with VIN and they can tell you if it was done.

You have an internal wet clutch that is bathed in oil. If you use the wrong motor oil or run heavy tires it can toast it.

ok
I have done a lot of reading on the wet clutch now.
do you know how I can confirm if it cvt or wet clutch?
the guy I bought it from did just change the oil before I bought it
but never ran until I just fixed the fuel pump
I'm going to find out were he got the oil but knowing him it was artic cat is were he buys everything
but if that is the case it was ridden about 15 miles on black top.
the 4 wheeler only has 80 miles on it tho
I have worked on a lot of bikes but this my first artic cat
this thing is turning into a money pit lolol
thank again for all the help

Pull your CVT cover off. Put it in gear with the brake locked on and give it some throttle in high. If the machines revs up and the belt doesn't move it's your wet clutch.
