Try ebay, also go with OEM Suzuki parts they are much cheaper and they are the exact same. Can your cylinder just be honed or bored out?

. no the cylinder skirt is broken where it slides into the block, piston has a hole in it, and no longer on the rod, and couple stuck valves in the head which im pretty sure i can fix.. i have to take it apart and check the seats and guides tho..

i just baught the quad for 400$ figure even with 1000$ repairs into the engine, i can still have a 500cc 4x for under 1500$. the rest seems to be in pretty good shape..

do i just search for the same year/size suzuki motor, or is there a different engine code?

not sure what he did to do this damage, but he must have had it doin some serious rpm..

I am currently parting out a 99 Arctic Cat 500 and I still have a complete engine. I am willing to part out the engine if you really interested.

still looking for a 500cc 4x engine, or parts for engine.

cylinder
piston / pin
head
cam
etc

or does anyone know if a newer engine (03-07) would share the top end parts?

I get most of my stuff for my old cat on ebay. There are actually TONs of parts available.

If you need a rear hub for your 99, its probably the same one they used in 97,98. In 2000 they switched to a 1/2 shaft on bearings instead of a hub on a spline.

Cant speak for engine parts but you can buy rebuild kits on ebay and im sure with a little patience you can get a hub for a 99. I have before. There are a few outfits that part out quads and sell the components on buy-it-now-auctions.

I did a little research for you and according the parts fishe at Country Cat the 1999 500 shares the same parts listed below.
Cylinder head 98-2002
Camshaft 98-2002
Camshaft Gear 98-2002
Cylinder 98-2002
Piston 98-2002

If you don't mind me asking what happened that your in need of these parts?

When I first bought my 02 500 it burnt a little oil under hard acceleration so I took the top end apart to rebuild. My cylinder looked in great condition and even had most of the cross hatching with no scraps or scratches on the cylinder walls. Started rebuilding it and I went to put the top piston ring to check for ring end gap and it was double the necessary spec. Busted out my cylinder bore gauge and noticed the cylinder was .50 mm too large. Even with the cylinder looking in really good condition it was out of spec. I bought a liner from LA Sleeve and had then install it. They did a great job and wouldn't hesitate using them in the future. Btw your liner or cylinder is not a plated one. That started later like 2005 I believe. GL.
