Unhappy Carb Mixture Screw Adjustment

To start off with this is what I have got so far....

08 500 Cat
27" Mud Wolf's
Roller weights lightened
Fixed plate mod
Belt snorkeled to 2"
Intake snorkeled to 2" keeping the factory airbox

I have read a lot about rejetting after snorkeling but wanted to try adjusting the mixture screw first to see if that would make a difference as it was a little sluggish on the bottom end. I played with the mixture and got it to feel better with the screw set to 2 1/2 turns out. The problem I ran into is that fuel started leaking out the overflow drain. Is this an indication that I should increase the size of the primary jet?

Any help would be appreciated.

NO that is an indication of a float problem.Either dirty seat or not adjusted correctly.
