wiring diagram
hey guys and gals need a little help here, please!
i have a 99 ac 500 4x4 that i fried the regulator on and was wondering if anyone could help when i start to install the new one. also the plug was damaged so im gonna have to solder the new wires in. first and foremost can anyone tell me what the wires are by color when i get ready to install the new one@? this would be the wires coming from the bike not the regulator...any help would be greatly appreciated and would help me alot... thank you all so much in advance

Hey bud,
Not sure I know what you mean by what the wires are by color..? if you solder them, make sure you us shrink tube to seal those up well and it should keep things good and protected for you. I personally go a bit over the top and solder it, then dope it up with dialectric grease, then shrink tube over all of that.

It think what he is asking for is; To identify what wires connect to what by the color of the wires. Or how to identify wires from the stator and where they connect to the voltage regulator. I Have no idea. Maybe one of the newer model wiring diagrams in the pinned section is close enough for the 99????

this is not exactly what you asked for but it may be close enough to get you by. It is for a 2001 and i use it on my uncles 2000. i havent seen any differences from the 00 to the 01 yet but you may with the 99.
