When I turn on the Gas /petrol lever on the quad. After a minute or two the Gas / petrol starts to pour out on ground out of overflow pipe. I think the float is not working or damaged.

Please I need advice or information where to find the above carburetor

Thank you

It sounds like all it needs is a good cleaning or just a float ajustment,or just replace the needle.

Here is a diagram of the carb the float needle/seat is #7 and the part# is 5507-038

Welcome to Arcticchat!

It dosn't sound like you need a whole new carb, maybe just a few individual parts.

When you find out what parts you need you can buy them from Country Cat Home

Bought my quad 2 years ago from a garage demo model. Its a Massey Ferguson Arctic Cat 250 cc quad. Had problem straight away. When you turn on the Gas / Petrol and start and move, the tank will empty via the overflow at the rear of quad. She is fowling up her plug all the time so to operate I had to turn on and turn off the Gas/ Petrol all the time. When I went back to garage that sold it . The garage was closed down. It looks something like a problem with the float or maybe the needle. We have let a mechanic look at it but he didnt solve the problem. I am looking to sort this problem and what parts do I need. This quad only has 30 / 40 hours done.

Carburetor is a KEI HIN CVK 75NA BSBR

Thank you for your help

I would buy a rebuild kit and then tear down the carb and give it a good soaking in carb cleaner over nite then blow the carb out with compressed air. Then put it back together with factory settings.

You can get any part you need or the whole carb from> Country Cat Home

Its very easy to replace the float needle/seat, 1st remove the float bowl then slide out the float pin this will let the needle come out, then replace with new needle and reassemble in reverse order, then turn carb uprite and raise float untill the needle comes in contact with the carb, the float should be level with carb bowl if its not then use a small screwdriver to slightly bend the tab the needle rests on to make it level, then install the float bowl, and install back on the atv and it should be good to go.
