04 90cc Carb Problems

Ok, I have removed and cleaned the carb from top to bottom. So now it starts hard and for some reason if I tilt the wheeler on it's right side it starts right up. After I get it warmed up it has trouble idling. It runs high then idles down and then back up and back and forth. Took it for a spin and had it at WOT and then it just cut out and died. Is the out auto choke shot? Seems like I cannot nail down the problem. Any help would be great. Thanks.

From the sounds of it, when you cleaned the carburetor you may of fouled up the float fuel level setting. When you tilt the machine, that causes the fuel in the float bowl to angle over to where the fuel depth is higher and more easily picked up by the porting for the pilot and pms jets. Could also not be getting a good flow of fuel into the float bowl. pinched supply line perhaps.

High hanging and hunting idle or the surging idle points to lean on the pms and pilot. Dieing at high speed, fuel starvation. both could be caused from a low fuel level in the float bowl, meaning the float shuts off supply into the bowl too soon resulting in a low level that is not being picked up by the jets

Wyo, just wanted to say thanks again. Took it apart last night and yes the float was way out of position. Took my time, double checked my work and put it back together and it fired right up. Just had to adjust the idle a bit and she was good to go. Got a happy boy at home now.
