02' arctic cat 500 leaking fuel from bottom of carb

hey yall i need some help with this i shut my cat off yesterday and my friend noticed gas leaking from under it i looked and it was coming from a fitting on the bottom no hose for it and now it won't crank i don't no much about big bores i've only had it about 4 days any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like the carb needs to come off and be cleaned up, the needle and seat may have a wear spot and may need to be replaced. Take the carb off and remove the bowl and see whats in the for dirt/water the after every jet is cleaned with compressed air hold the carb upside down with the floats still in place and the y should sit paralle to the base of the carb/ if not bend them untill they are. It should be bent too much maybe a mil or two.

yep, sounds like a dirty seat... also, remove ALL rubber parts from the carb if you're to use carb cleaner, trust me...

alright i pulled the carb off this morning gotta take the old lady on a date then i'll get on it and thanks for the tip on the rubber

Well should have it goin tomorrow got it apart and in the cleaner now have a friend thats good with motors he helped me out I appreciate the help guys
