Digital dash quit working

I have a 05 arctic cat 500 4x4, we were playing in the swamps when I found a hole an snuffed it out. The seat was underwater for 10 minutes but the dash never got wet. Everything worked fine for the rest of the day, the next day the LCD display started going on and off then got dim and quit. Later on while driving it the display came back until I shut it off. Now the dash illuminates and the high beam indicator works but that's it.
If anyone knows anything about this that would be great.

I have tried disconnecting the battery and also touching the cables together after disconnected. No luck.

Thanks

Try pulling the plug of the cluster, on the harness side pull the cap(white on mine) and pinch all the connections a bit. I just did this today to all the female connections and its all good to go now.

Try resetting the pod by removing the battery cables for 5 minutes. take out the plug on back of the pod and pack it with dielectric grease. If it still doesn't work your pod is probably toast.

I tried resetting the pod, no luck. I checked the connections on the back of the pod, all looks fine. Went for a long ride and at one point the dash came back on, next time I looked down the dash was out again. During the same ride, the main fuse blew, I replaced it and ever since all is fine except the dash still is not working. Are these machines known for wiring problems either at the steering post or along the frame

Thanks for the tip. Pulled all the front plastics off and started inspecting the harness, found the 12v supply for the pod had a bad spot, not rubbed through but a rotten spot in the wire. Also found the wire to the main fuse had rubbed through on the upper mount that connects the engine to the frame. I have not got a chance to repair them yet, but I will post if the pod comes back.

After removing all the plastics, air box and all intake piping and the gas tank, I located the problem. I found a broken wire about 8 inches away from the fuse block right where the wiring harness goes over the frame and behind the tank. After repairing the wire the dash came back and works fine. Also repaired several other wires that had rubbed against the frame. One thing I would do is secure the harness to the frame better.

Thanks everyone for the tips.

dash

My dash was acting up and I lost power to aux. power socket ,only 4 volts ,but when I unplug the dash pod I get full 12 plus volts to the plug .Must be a short in the dash pod ,it acted up after the quad got rained on and then was frozen over night and the dash did not work right since then.

I'm having the same issue. The unit is flickering or not light up at all. What was your process to fix this? did you have to take of any plastic or gas Tank?

Thanks, i appreciate it.

I just went and removed all the plastic because I didn't know where the problem would be, it took about 45 min to remove the front and rear racks, both foot well enclosures and foot peg brackets, dash pot cover, dash pod and handle bars in order to remove the front and rear plastics. Two two bad wires I found were at the upper engine mount bracket and frame(had rubbed through and was grounding out against the bracket. The other wire was right where the wiring harness goes over the frame and into the fuse panel. I had to remove the gas tank to repair it properly. Sounds like a lot of work, but honesty its not bad to do.

Hope this helps.
