I'm looking into getting a 2-up for riding my handicapped son around easier. I like the efi's and have seen several Pantera's. For our budget range it looks like we will be in the late 1990's to very early 2000's sleds. One in particular I am looking at is a 1996 Pantera 580 EFI. I have a few questions though before I make the 2 hour drive to look at it.

1. Is a 1996 580 EFI a betteryless EFI or is it the older style that requires a battery for the EFI to work?

2. The front bulkhead. Does that year have an aluminum front bulkhead or is steel?

3. Anyone that has/had one that can comment in general please do so.

Thanks,

John B.
