Unhappy Help no paperwork.

I just bought a 98 panther snowmobile and it doesn't have paperwork. I went to the police to run the vin and it's clear. For some reason the guy I bought it from won't make me a bill of sale. Has anyone been here before?? What did they do to get their sled registered?? Can anyone help me out here??

In Wisconsin you just go online with the DNR and register it in your name. No paper work required since its just a registration not a title.

Out of state persons can do this as well so if CA gives you problems, register it in WI and when you get the card, take it to your state and register it there.

Hope this helps.

Seller wouldn't get my cash without at least a bill of sale. Not willing to do so is "fishy" Good luck.

So when you ran the VIN with the police, do they know owner of sled? If so, it is the the same guy you bought it from?
