Sled: snopro 600
2010 sp600 with rumble pack

Hi, i've bought a sno stuff rumble pack to put on my snopro 600, just for the fun of having that braaap sound. The sound is great but the sled just run like crap with the aftermarket can on it. IT's like it takes forever to build heat in the pipe and the sled always run like it is super rich. I just removed the rumble pack and put back the original muffler and the sled runs great.

My thoughts are that the ECT system is not working properly with the rumble pack on it. The exhaust flow is probably faster and leave the pipe colder so the ect sensor seems to not be able to take accurate measurement and just mess up the timing.

What do you guys thinking about it??? i mean .... so much people are running can on their sled, it should not be an issue.

well seeing its a race sled and needs alot of ajusting and pre-mix you will need to get new jets and ajust your carb and clutch

Ok well, i've got some news about the issue explained in the first post.
I finally pinpointed the problem with my sled. The was not running great with the snostuff silencer, was running better with the stock one but not that much and was fouling plugs each ride i've tried to make. I finally decided to look at the source itself and one piston dome was cracked and a part was missing. So now, 2 brand new pistons have been installed in the sled. run greats after a few carbs adjustments.

Needle jet on 2 clip and 1.75 turn on air screw.

No more plug fouling and got a great throttle response.
Will retry to run the rumble pack and post some comments about it.

how has it been running so far now? reason i'm asking is that my brother (16y.o.) is running the same sled with the same SS silencer on it and the sled never seems to run at it's best. He bought the sled with a Speedwerx can on it that seemed to sound terrible so he swapped out to the SnoStuff but the sled seems to take forever to warm up and then struggles to hit top end unless you really pin it. I rode it yesterday after letting it idle for 15mins and then being very nice to the throttle for another 10-20mins i hit the trail....after an hour or so of riding i had to go through town at about 15-20mph and it seemed to have lost all power thru that band of speed. it felt like the pluggs had fouled out but after i killed the power, made a phone call, started back up, and took off, the sled seemed to be back running fine? i cant figure this sled out and i'm trying to convince him to put the stock can back on to see the difference... any thoughts?

Carb ajusting or new jets, diff can needs diff setting. can also use some clutch ajusting when getting a diff can

i have the exact same issue as you with the ss silencer. The sled does not
make decent power at all. Put the stock silencer on it and then she rip anything.

sorry i didnt read the title but we are running the sp500 so we have EFI.. i am going to be reverting to the stock muffler now but are there any other thoughts before i decide to sell the SS can?
