first thing i would do is rebuild the clutch! 800/900s eat up clutch bushings, rollers etc...2#then i would run a 175/300 primary hpe makes a good one...3# i would clean the faces with 300 grit wet/dry sandpaper.. 4#then adjust your primary belt to sheaves till you get 20-30 thousands gap...5# get a fishing scale or track tension scale then lift your track up in the air and see how many lbs it takes too turn the track. less resistance=more power to the track..but still keep it tight enough that it wont ratchet or anything... 6#then i would gear it down a few..sleds are geared way to high...you will never be able too get that sled to the top speed that its geared for...sp if its stock!and the last thing to do is too have a friend with a stopwatch set at 1/4 mile then 1/2 mile then 3/4 & dont forget mark them all off.then go until your at your fastest time until your hit a mile...adjust the weights/springs till you tach reads 74-7600 rpms NO more with a single pipe you will just be losing power after that...look at it as a drag race, because thats how you truely get fast! do 1-5 first, because that alone makes a BIG difference..then go from there...hope this helps!

fighting over the internet is like playing in the special olympics.. even if you win your still a retard!!!!

Don't waste your money re-gearing. It's WAY too expensive on a Diamond Drive. I've got a Fett Bros kit in my 04 with the 10" secondary and it works really well but, I don't know off hand what springs or how much weight I'm running. Go over to HCS and search around. There's tons of clutching info for the 900 DD sleds.

If it don't go, chrome it!

i just put a yellow white primary spring and a dark green secondary, because i was low on rpms, i now and around 7400, everything in the clutches is like brand new so i will scuff them up with 300, and yes top end is crazy, i just want to pick up a lil more midrange power, low is great top is good but 70 up lil weak, not sure how the helix and stuff really work but i do appreciate the info
