Sled: 1998 580 EXT
my 98 580 ext i just got it running again i have replaced my stator and throttle cable got it going and it starts right up and idles great but i give it gas and once it hits 3000 rpms it stalls right out or it will drop down in rpms and kick back up to idle i thought i had it going i was so excited went to take off and it was doing this crap i think its my stator can anyone please help me thanks

I just saw two 580's with the same conditions and all the usual suspects were addressed. Both had busted skirts on the pistons. They both came in like a day apart.

ATV: 2007 Yamaha Rhino 660
2007 Mileage: 1875
2006 Mileage: 1800
throttle override, either unhook your kill switch or where your throttle handle pivots you will see wires going in there , unhook those
