Just got back from Pismo Beach Dunes CA on Monday and now my prowler won't start. "07 XT one month old. 200 miles.
Here's what I've checked so far to diagnosis.

-Pulled plug and grounded out, turned engine over no spark at plug.
-Pulled all fuses at panel, no bad fuses
-Gas tank is full
-12v at battery
-Tried other brand new plug still no spark.
-Engine is getting fuel

Not sure what else to check and trying to avoid a trip to the dealer. Please advise.

Sounds like your CDI went on vacation. Do you have someone that has a prowler so you could try theirs?

Is it out of warranty? I would take it to the dealer, even if it is out, Arctic cat might take care of it being its so new and low miles. Either way, dealer could swap a cdi onto it and tell if thats the problem in 2 minutes, if they wont pay, then easy answer is to upgrade to dynatec or hunterworks cdi, or look for a stock one from somebody that has switched to one.

08 prowler sold, replaced with 09 RZR

Make sure the spark plug wire is screwed onto the coil tightly. We sank one and filled the cylinder with water. When we pulled the plug and blew out the water we loosened the connection at the coil. It took about three cool ones to figure it out.

Thank you guys, i called a dealer and he mentioned the speedo gauge cluster unit could be bad reason being, my gas gauge hasn't worked since day one and now this engine starting thing. he said this unit is somewhat the brain of the electrical system. i took the prowler into the dealer yesterday so im now at the mercy of them and there "speedy" repair job, wish i could have checked the spark plug at the coil
"prowler guy" didn't do that...

i know u said that the fuses were good but check the diodes. i had the same problem on my 06 H1. those are the little black looking fuses. to see if this is the proble try putting a normal fuse in the place of the diode(BUT DONT RIDE THE BIKE LIKE THIS, YOU COULD FRY ALL OF YOUR ELECTRICAL HARDWARE)basically if it was the diode when you put a fuse in place of it and it runs then just get a new diode. good luck

Well the problem was resolved after two weeks in the shop and if i remember correctly it they had to pull the one side of the engine covers (believe flywheel cover) off, drain the oil and replace whatever pulls the spark off the flywheel. I'm not totally sure but i know it wasn't the spark plug, coil, fuses, loose connections, relays, battery or anything mentioned above on earlies replies.
