I retired my belt with over 15,000 miles

The original belt on my 7000 still looked great but I decided to replace it just because. During its life I had to add .06" shims to compensate for only .08" wear. The only thing that I noticed is that the max engine speed had increased a bit. The belt on my last Arctic Cat gave me the same service at the same milage. I once had a belt fail prematurely at 10,000 miles. Some would say that was not premature. What say you?

You are one lucky rider.

You could take the last two zeros off for most of my belts lifetime.

It drives me crazy. I have two spares on the sled and more in the trailer.

We stopped to eat and noticed other riders coming in with snow jammed in their helmets, jackets and gloves. They had snow everywhere. We looked out the door and couldn't see across the street. Six inches of snow fell while we ate a few burgers. That was the start of a great ride.

I got a long way to go with 5500 miles on my T660 Turbo Touring then. I bought the spare when I bought machine in Dec 2005. I know if I didn't, I would have blown a belt out in the boonies.
