Yamaha rep that was touring around the dealers said they already have a turbo kit for the viper. It was being tested and fine tuned so they can have it as an option for the 2014s. It mounts on the right side of the sled and uses an air to liquid intercooler.( not sure where it is mounted). If it can keep a belt on it ill be trading out of this turbo cat.

Has anyone else noticed that this is just a cat that has been painted and Graphic'ed to look like a Yamaha, look at the plastic, windshield, ski's, spindles and everything else about it.

Hood is different, uses Yamaha clutching and built to Yamaha's specs. Same but very different. ArcticInsider - Arctic Cat-Yamaha: Speculation & Reading Between the Lines

The hood looks the same as the cat to me! Every thing on its a cat including the windshield only has 4 screw not the 6 like Yamaha has. Pipe dream at this point. Yeah you might see a kit but not a factory installed one.

Not bad for a girl!

Hood is different if you look at it from the front and compare it to the cat. The Yamaha version is more open compared to the cat ZR 7000. I dont see a turbo working as there is absolutely no room to place it under the fuel tank. When they turn the head around so the exhaust exits out the front, maybe but really who needs that much horsepower in my opinion. I am a two stroke 600 guy. All I will ever need.

There is definitely room for a turbo.
There are a few aftermarket prototypes running already.
here's a few shots of Boost-It's proto
